Peninah Nthenya-coached Safe Spaces face off with Stanbuc Bank as the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) women's league enters the final phase.
By qualifying for the final, the two sides have already booked their slots to the inter-province playoffs set for next month in Mombasa where the teams to gain promotion to the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) league will be determined.
However, there is still more to play for in the best-of-five final as both sides seek to carry the champikn tag into the KBF league.
The bankers, up against Olympic Tigress in game four of the semis recovered from a slow start to pick a convincing 44-28 victory for a 3-1 won of the series.
Stanbic trailed 11-19 in the first stanza but recovered to keep the students below double figures in the other three quarters for victory.
On their part, Safe Spaces, up against Dream Girls romped to a 52-33 triumph after taking a huge 11-5 and 13-6 lead in the first two quarters.
Sarah Aparo sunk 14 as Florence Mbithe added 13 for Safe Spaces who also took the the third quarters 9-8 and the last 19-14.
Meanwhile the men's final will wait longer as Evelyn Kedogo-coached African Dream forced a decisive Game Five with a 57-41 win over Clique Mambas who led 19-10 in the first quarter but wilted 13-3 in the second and 20-7 in the last quarter.
The men's series is deadlocked 2-2 and this battle will be settled in a winner take all encounter on Sunday.
